I'm reading the Hunt for Red October (even though I should be searching for the book for TAG, but I keep forgetting it). It's good so far- lots of character detail. -Thea
I just finished the third book in a trilogy by Libba Bray called THE SWEET FAR THING. It takes place in England in the 1890s at a boarding school where Gemma finds she has the power to take her friends into a magical world called 'the realms.' At first it is all beautiful, fun, and happy. Then they have to come to understand responsibility and power and good and evil. I recommend starting with A GREAT AND TERRIBLE BEAUTY and read them in order. If you like fiction with a touch of fantasy this is a good series. --BJR
I'm reading Ask the Dust by John Fante, written in 1939 and set in Los Angeles. The main character's thoughts and actions are so inconsistent that he seems real.
Ooo...that fantasy trilogy sounds good. I'll have to try that when I have the chance. I'm currently reading the Chronicles of Narnia. (Yep, back to the good old classics.) --Abby
I'm reading (somewhat inconsistently, because I think about reading my book and then I'm like, "Ooh, People Magazine!") The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. -Stephanie
